Novena of Masses

The Novena (Nine) is from the beginning, one of the most powerful ways to beseech God and obtain the most precious, singular graces. In the Acts of the Apostles, we read that they waited for 9 days in prayer with the Mother of God in the Cenacle. After this first novena was done at the request of Our Lord Himself, the Holy Ghost came upon them bringing every gift and grace, enabling them to convert the whole world. If the mass is already the most powerful prayer in the world, just imagine a novena of masses! What grace cannot be obtained through it, if a single mass is worth more than all sacrifices combined (for it is the sacrifice of the cross on Calvary).
In our Novena of Masses which we offer for the faithful before major Feasts, you may enroll yourself, a family member, friend, a deceased person, or request any specific intention, and we will place the person’s name or the particular intention under the holy altar, and beg the Lord throughout the mass to look upon these intentions with favor. We are very intentional and take it very seriously. The intentions will remain under the altar for the nine consecutive masses and we will also continue to pray for them as a community. Nowadays people get many gifts, but how little is any gift in comparison with that which is able to save the immortal soul, sanctify it, and make it beautiful and beloved by God! Let us think of our salvation. Men make time for everything else, except God and their greatest good – the pursuit that matters throughout eternity. Let us turn to prayer! May we love Him, with Mary, and Joseph. Let us join the Angels at each holy mass. Enough with this passing world of cares, our purpose is much greater. Our end is in His eternal love alone, in His Body and Blood offered for us. Our identity can be found in nothing else, and in no one else but in Him. O, and then you shall be happy, and then you shall see, and at last you will know peace.
